Hi, I’m Raffy

I am the braider behind Raffybraids, a private home-based braiding service located in North York, Toronto.

I specialize in neat, detailed protective styles, including knotless braids, boho braids, stitch feed-ins, Fulani styles, box braids and twists.

Every appointment is personalized and focused on providing a comfortable experience, careful styling and a beautifully finished result. I work with one client at a time, allowing me to give each appointment the attention and care it deserves.

The health and condition of your natural hair are important to me. Before beginning a service, I will let you know if a requested style may not be suitable for your hair length, condition or edges.

My goal is to provide clear pricing, professional service and a finished style you feel confident wearing.

Standard braiding hair is provided for applicable styles. Service prices remain the same if a client chooses to bring their own braiding hair.

Only 100% human curly hair is accepted for boho styles. Synthetic curly hair is not accepted.

Booking Process

How to Secure Your Appointment

Submit your booking request. Choose your preferred style, date and available time, then complete the booking form.

Send the $50 retainer. Send a $50 CAD Interac e-Transfer to [email protected], then send proof of payment through WhatsApp.

Complete payment within 6 hours. Your selected date and time will only be held for 6 hours. If the retainer is not received within that time, the appointment may be released.

Receive your confirmation. Your appointment is only confirmed after the retainer has been received and verified. The exact home-studio address and arrival instructions will then be sent to you.

Pay the remaining balance on the appointment day. The remaining balance must be paid in cash at your appointment.

Important: The $50 retainer is non-refundable and non-transferable. Submitting the booking form alone does not confirm your appointment.

Clean, Prepared HairArrive with freshly washed, fully dried, thoroughly detangled and product-free hair. A minimum of approximately 4–6 inches may be required for certain styles.
$50 RetainerA $50 non-refundable and non-transferable retainer is required to reserve your appointment. Your selected date and time will only be held for 6 hours while payment is pending.
Cancellations & ReschedulingAppointments cancelled within 48 hours, same-day cancellations and no-shows will result in the loss of the retainer. Rescheduling requests must be made at least 48 hours before the appointment and are subject to availability.
LatenessA late fee of $5 applies for every 15 minutes of lateness. Appointments may be cancelled after 30 minutes of lateness, and the retainer will be forfeited.

Hair Preparation

Please arrive with freshly washed, fully dried, thoroughly detangled and product-free hair.

  • Do not apply oils, creams, grease or leave-in conditioner before your appointment.
  • Hair must be clean and ready to braid.
  • Clients who arrive with wet, oily, tangled, heavily coated or improperly prepared hair may be unable to receive the service.
  • If the hair-preparation requirements are not followed, the appointment may be cancelled and the retainer forfeited.
  • A minimum of approximately 4–6 inches of natural hair may be required for certain styles.
  • Clients with very short, uneven or damaged hair may be asked to submit a clear photo or video for approval before booking.

A $50 non-refundable and non-transferable retainer is required to reserve your selected appointment date and time.

  • Submitting a booking request does not confirm your appointment.
  • Your selected date and time will be held for up to 6 hours while the retainer is pending.
  • If the retainer is not received within 6 hours, the appointment may be released.
  • Your appointment is only confirmed after the retainer has been received and verified.
  • The retainer is applied toward your service balance.
  • Retainers cannot be refunded, transferred to another person or applied to a different service.

How much do knotless braids cost?+

Knotless-braid prices depend on the braid size and length selected. Please review the Knotless Braids pricing section for the full price list.

How much is the retainer?+

A $50 non-refundable and non-transferable retainer is required to reserve your appointment. Your selected date and time will only be held for up to 6 hours while payment is pending.

How should I prepare my hair?+

Can I bring a guest?+

No. Extra guests are not permitted unless prior approval has been provided.

Do you accept children?+

Yes. Clients must be at least 10 years old and able to sit safely and cooperate throughout the appointment. Clients aged 14 and above are charged regular service prices.

Do you braid men or boys?+

No. Raffybraids does not currently provide services for men or boys.

How do I pay the remaining balance?+

The remaining balance must be paid in cash on the appointment day.
